Daniel Blackwell

Daniel Blackwell joined the Carolinas Credit Union League in December 2024 as South Carolina legislative affairs manager, reporting to Senior Vice President of Advocacy Billy Boylston. In this role, Daniel leads advocacy efforts in South Carolina, fosters relationships with lawmakers, develops legislative strategies, and advances the credit union legislative agenda.

Daniel holds a degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina Aiken. Before joining the League, he served as governmental affairs manager for the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, successfully advocating for pro-business policies and monitoring legislative activity. He also worked as a research assistant with McGuireWoods Consulting, supporting lobbying efforts in areas such as finance, workforce development, and energy.

Outside of work, Daniel enjoys playing golf, cheering for the Buffalo Bills, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends.
