Credit Unions are Unique, Just Like You
When you join a credit union, you become part owner in a not-for-profit financial institution. Instead of making a profit for shareholders, credit unions return excess revenue to members in the form of better rates, lower fees, and improved services, many of them the same as those offered by other financial institutions. In addition to checking, savings, loans, and online banking, credit unions provide surcharge-free ATM access through nationwide and private networks.
Find a Credit Union
There are more than 115 million credit union members, and that number keeps growing. Why? Because people like you are discovering that there’s a credit union for everyone, with easier access to their money than they once thought. Learn more at YourMoneyFurther.com and find the credit union that’s right for you.
ATM Locators
Automated teller machines (ATMs) operate on at least one network. Primary networks for credit unions in the Carolinas are the CO-OP Network and STAR. To avoid surcharges, first check with your credit union to confirm its network before visiting these ATM locator links.
- CO-OP Network ATMs: Members of credit unions on the CO-OP Network have surcharge-free access at other CO-OP Network ATMs.
- CashPoints ATMs: No surcharge fees at CashPoints ATMs statewide in North Carolina when using a card issued by a credit union that is part of the Carolinas Credit Union League (CCUL). Withdrawals using certain cards not issued by a CCUL credit union incur a $2 surcharge fee.
