Take Knowledge to the Next Level
Add definitive knowledge and skills through a series of distinct training and certification opportunities offered by the League and supporting affiliates, such as the FiCEP and SRCUS programs.
Enhanced FiCEP
Through collaboration with America's Credit Unions, we present this opportunity for credit union professionals to become Certified Credit Union Financial Counselors. The five-month, self-study program includes a component that guides credit unions on the best skills counselors can use to help members better manage their finances, in turn growing the credit union and enhancing the bottom line.
Principles & Philosophy Conference
Produced by volunteer CUDEs from the Carolinas, this conference funds scholarships for Credit Union Development Education and connects both young professionals and seasoned bankers with the core values of the credit union movement. This interactive, casual event delves into the cooperative business model and the Eight Cooperative Principles that distinguish credit unions. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the social purpose and unique aspects of credit unions through engaging in dialogue and idea exchanges.
SRCUS
Hosted by a collection of leagues in the southeast, Southeastern Regional Credit Union School’s (SRCUS) signature programs include:
Southeast Management School
A three-year program hosted on the campus of the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. Students meet for one week each year where they tackle leadership challenges in the credit union industry through an academic curriculum aimed at enhancing their operational, managerial, and leadership skills. Scholarship assistance is available through the Carolinas Credit Union League here.
Southeast Regional Directors’ Conference
Rotating locations annually among the seven Southeastern state credit union leagues, this conference features a full range of educational sessions for board directors and supervisory committee members that provide a conduit for learning about critical issues of the day.
TalentGuided Coaching
Established in 2019, the League’s TalentGuided program fills the gap in external coaching services not readily available to most credit unions – connecting professionals seeking self-improvement with qualified coaches who will help them develop new competencies, qualities, and behaviors as leaders and team members.
