Legislative Priorities
We advocate for our members’ best interests at the state and federal levels by sharing our history and distinction with lawmakers as they consider new legislation. Our top priority is to stay vigilant against threats and pursue opportunities that benefit credit unions.
Carolinas Capital Club
The Carolinas Capital Club unites credit union advocates in the Carolinas to support our political action committees (PAC). Your membership and contributions help us champion state and federal candidates who uphold credit union principles.

Governmental Affairs Conference
Hosted by America’s Credit Unions, the Governmental Affairs Conference is the largest advocacy event for credit unions and our most visible chance to petition lawmakers for their support of the credit union difference.
Hike the Hill
Congressional visits provide a more intimate opportunity for the League to share credit union stories and discuss top issues with lawmakers, which strengthens our influence in Washington.

Billy Boylston
SVP of AdvocacyIn addition to serving as CCUL’s lobbyist at the SC General Assembly, Billy oversees all of the League's advocacy work in both NC and SC.
Nate Lane
Director of Federal AffairsNate develops and executes the League’s federal advocacy strategy and is responsible for advancing the federal and regulatory agenda of member credit unions in North and South Carolina.
Lindsey Dowling
Director of State AffairsLindsey leads and directs advocacy efforts at the state level, building and maintaining relationships with NC & SC lawmakers and candidates, developing legislative and political strategies, and more.
Spears Goodlett
Advocacy CoordinatorSpears is responsible for organizing the League’s grassroots campaigns, assisting with political action committee (PAC) fundraising, planning advocacy meetings and conferences.
