Courtney Jackson is the director of integrated communications at the Carolinas Credit Union League, where she has dedicated 14 years to shaping the League’s communications and marketing strategies. With a bachelor’s degree in integrated marketing communications and certifications as a Digital Marketing Professional from the Digital Marketing Institute, Courtney leads the communications department with expertise and passion. She oversees League channels and publications, spearheading the development and execution of marketing strategies for the association and its subsidiary, PLR.
To Courtney, her role is an opportunity to help tell the League’s story and highlight its impact on member credit unions in ways that resonate across various platforms and mediums. Working at the League aligns with her values of giving back, caring for others, empowering the next generation, and making a difference.
Professionally, Courtney is an active member of the African American Credit Union Coalition (AACUC) and its Southern Regional Chapter, where she previously served on the communications committee. She also serves on the board for her local homeowner’s association and is a member of the Global Women’s Leadership Network (GWLN).
One of her proudest accomplishments is serving nearly seven years as the program coordinator for the League’s Protégé Competition program, where she played a crucial role in branding, structuring, and organizing the program. Seeing the continuing success of young professionals who went through the competition is a source of great pride for her. Additionally, she was part of the League’s communications team that won first-place Blockbuster Awards in 2013 and 2015, recognized by the Credit Union National Association (now America’s Credit Unions) in the categories of “Best Campaign” and “Public Relations,” respectively.
Courtney believes professional success comes from self-reflection, not comparison—measuring growth against one’s past self to boost confidence, maintain sanity, and advance in a career.
Outside of work, Courtney is passionate about visual storytelling, writing, the arts, spending quality time with family and friends, and education—mainly financial education. Since joining the League, she has developed a strong commitment to financial education, recognizing its potential to improve people’s lives.
