Dan was named President/CEO of the Carolinas Credit Union League in 2018 and currently serves in that capacity.
In addition to his responsibilities at the League, Dan serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Advanced Fraud Solutions and the American Association of Credit Union Leagues (AACUL) Executive Board.
Dan joined the Carolinas Credit Union League in April of 1997 when he was hired as field director of North Carolinians for Credit Union Choice, the grassroots coalition organized by NC credit unions during their battle to pass the Credit Union Membership Access Act (HR 1151). Following the passage of HR 1151 in 1999, Dan was promoted to assistant vice president of governmental affairs at the League. In 2003, Dan was promoted to vice president of governmental/regulatory affairs.
In 2006 Dan was promoted to SVP of Association Services, overseeing the League’s advocacy efforts and compliance services and communications teams. In 2016 Dan became EVP/COO of the League, managing core association offerings, including advocacy, compliance, and professional development.
Dan grew up in Winston-Salem and graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a double major in political science and economics. Prior to joining the League, Dan worked in Raleigh on the US Senate campaign of Charlie Sanders and later in Washington, D.C. for Congressman Elijah Cu
