Dan Schline

Dan was named President/CEO of the Carolinas Credit Union League in 2018 and has honorably served in this capacity since 2018.

In addition to his leadership at the League, Dan serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Advanced Fraud Solutions, the American Association of Credit Union Leagues (AACUL) Executive Board, and Carolinas Credit Union Foundation.

He joined the Carolinas Credit Union League in April of 1997 when he was hired as field director of North Carolinians for Credit Union Choice, the grassroots coalition organized by NC credit unions during their battle to pass the Credit Union Membership Access Act (HR 1151). Following the passage of HR 1151 in 1999, Dan was promoted to assistant vice president of governmental affairs at the League. In 2003, Dan was promoted to vice president of governmental/regulatory affairs.

In 2006, Dan was promoted to senior vice president of association services, overseeing the League’s advocacy efforts and compliance services and communications teams. Dan became EVP/COO of the League in 2016, managing core association offerings, including advocacy, compliance, and professional development.

Dan grew up in Winston-Salem and graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a double major in political science and economics. Prior to joining the League, he worked in Raleigh on the U.S. Senate campaign of Charlie Sanders and later in Washington, D.C. for Congressman Elijah Cummings.
