Credit Union Assistance & Recovery Resources
The Carolinas Credit Union Foundation plays a key role in supporting credit union employees, volunteers, and the communities impacted by disaster. Through the Disaster Relief Fund, the Foundation provides grants to help those affected by storms and other emergencies. Since its inception following 9/11, the fund has awarded more than $3 million in disaster relief. The Foundation’s partnerships with local and national organizations, including the National Credit Union Foundation’s CUAid Program, make it a vital resource for recovery efforts in the Carolinas and beyond.

How to Help & Get Involved
Support Recovery Efforts in Your Community
During times of crisis, the credit union community comes together to provide support for those in need. There are various ways to help, whether by donating, volunteering, or spreading the word about available resources. Together, we can make a significant difference in helping our members and colleagues recover and rebuild.
Donate to Relief Funds
Support the recovery efforts by contributing to disaster relief funds such as the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation’s Disaster Relief Fund. Your donation can help provide immediate assistance to credit union employees and volunteers who are affected by disaster. Learn how to donate.
Volunteer Your Time or Services
Volunteering is a powerful way to assist your local community. Whether it’s providing financial counseling, assisting with cleanup efforts, or offering emotional support, your time and expertise can help ease the burden on those affected. Find a credit union near you to learn how they are lending support. Already a local credit union member? Visit your credit union’s website or call to see how you can help.
Partner with Local Organizations
Many local organizations and credit unions have volunteer and donation opportunities. If your credit union is interested in organizing a fundraising event or supporting relief efforts, contact us for ideas on how to partner with local groups.
Raise Awareness
Spreading the word about available resources and ways to help can reach those who need assistance most. Share social media posts, newsletters, and other communications to keep your community informed.
